BSL Collab Screening!

Join us for a collaborative screening with BSL SOC, where we will be showing a film that has brilliant representation where deaf characters are played by deaf actors, opposed to well known hearing actors starring in the roles.

There will be free popcorn, however feel free to bring any snacks you would like!

Doors open at 6:30pm, with the film starting at 7pm - Giving you plenty of time to grab some popcorn and pick a seat.

Film Description:

An Oscar winning heartwarming drama that centres on a young woman who is the only hearing member of a deaf family. The film explores her unique position as a bridge between her deaf parents and brother, and the hearing world. Ruby has a deep love for music and a strong desire to pursue a career as a singer, but she faces conflicting responsibilities: supporting her family's fishing business and stepping into a role as their interpreter for various tasks. The film delves into themes of family, identity, and the tension between pursuing personal dreams and staying loyal to loved ones.

Trigger warnings - Infrequent strong language, moderate sex references and drug misuse.

We look forward to seeing you lovely lot, as well as some new faces!
