We're here for you

Your wellbeing is important to us! The Advice Centre understands that university is a stressful time and you may encounter difficulties during your studies. This could be anything depression, anxiety, bullying, relationship with friends, family or partners and your health.

The Advice Centre is here for you should you find yourself in difficult circumstances and we will do our best to listen, to help and if we can’t solve your issue, point you in the right direction for the help you need.

View our health guide, which includes: useful contacts, information about physical and social activity, Active Hud opportunities and 'Ease Your Mind' handbook.

The Peer Supporters Service is a confidential service run by students for students, offering a chance to talk and get support when needed. You can connect with us virtually or in person. The service is located outside the Advice Centre in a quiet, relaxing area.

To connect with us, you can book an appointment either face to face, or virtually by clicking here: MS Teams., or you can message a peer listener via email or teams here: peerlistening@hud.ac.uk

The charity Student Minds has developed a workshop to help students support friends experiencing mental health difficulties while maintaining their own wellbeing. This workshop will help you develop essential skills in listening, communicating, motivating, and setting boundaries.
