Advice Centre

The Students' Union runs a full-service Advice-Centre, located on Floor 5 of Student Central. The service is completely free for students and is entirely independent of the University. Our advisers will take the time to talk you through your options on any given subject, and help you explore what your next steps might be!

How we've helped

"I had a difficult day at work, and because I take things personally, it sometimes really affects me beyond work hours. I was terrified of being judged for my behaviour, so I refrained from discussing it with my friends or family. I was happy to be able to discuss it with someone I knew wouldn't criticise me as I spoke to a peer supporter."

"I was having problems with my housemates and it was causing me quite a lot of stress, I messaged a peer supporter and arranged a chat, it was good to be able to tell someone what was going on, someone not involved who listened without judging."
