What is the BAME Network?

The B.A.M.E. (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) Ambassadors represent their communities at the university, whether it’s through campaigning, events or training. Together, the B.A.M.E. Network supports the Students’ Union to make student life better for all Black, Asian and minority ethnicity students. The term B.A.M.E. is used to refer to students who are either Asian, Arabic, Chinese or African and/or of Caribbean background or descent.

We're looking for passionate and motivated students to be BAME Ambassadors to ensure that BAME students are heard, better represented and voice their views from a position of authenticity.

We are fully committed to being accessible to all, both on and off campus. We are keen for your experience with this network to be a good one, so please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments or have any accessibility needs (e.g. wheelchair access) and where possible we will meet your individual needs. Any requests will be dealt with in confidence. Please contact bameambassadors@hud.ac.uk or h.wade@hud.ac.uk for support.

How to join?

Joining the BAME Network is a fantastic way to contribute to positive changes, as well as a great opportunity to meet new people and develop valuable skills. It's also a platform where you can share feedback and discuss your experiences. If you're interested in becoming a member, you can sign up here
