Academic Reps are students who volunteer to link together the University and the day-to-day student experience.
Every course has two reps in each year. Reps listen to all students on the course, sort out one-off issues by talking to the University staff and raise issues at University meetings. Academic Reps are the people to give feedback to about how your course is going (the good and the bad).
Find out early who they are and keep talking to them from day one until graduation! They should come into place early in term one and say hello to everyone on the course – so look out for them making contact and tell them how things are going. You can find the name of your Reps on MyHud in the support section.
As an Academic Rep you will:
Talk to your Course Leader to put your name forward. If there are more than two people interested, then your Course Leader will arrange an election.
Once you are confirmed as a Rep your Course Leader will let us know and we will be in touch about training and how we will be there to support you.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Rep community!
