I have an idea to create optional email banners for neurodiverse students, much like those that you see on SU emails. The banners would be there to identify someone as neurodivergent or with a disability/difficulty - essentially the sunflower lanyards in email banner format. These email banners should be optional to students, in order to raise awareness of an individual's disability/condition, but also for the sake of reasonable adjustments and understanding. For example, I am autistic and don't always come across as I intend in written word. These banners would help recipients to be emphatic, and reduce the amount of time that neurodiverse students actively explain who they are. I feel that having the option between a general banner (freedom for students to fill out as they would like), along with specific banner for individual disabilities/conditions would be the best idea.
